I have not received my payment, what should I do?

What should I do if I find a stale-dated check (more than 90 days old)?

Contact the Accounting Department at 614-457-1024 to determine the status of the check.

Why does my payment amount change?

There are many reasons why the amount of your checks may vary.

• Market conditions cause fluctuations in oil and gas prices.
• Operational problems or maintenance may cause production downtime.
• Oil payments depend on when an oil shipment was made. Payments may be monthly, quarterly, or annually depending on the wells production. Some wells do not produce oil.
• The volumes of gas and oil decline naturally over time. The gas and oil volumes from some wells fall slowly while others fall rapidly, only time will determine what a particular well will do.

If you have any questions, please contact our Accounting Department or email slevey@northwoodenergy.com.

When should I expect my 1099?

We mail out 1099 notifications in late January. Should you misplace your 1099 or need another copy please contact the Accounting Department.

What should I do if I received my 1099 and the Tax ID or Social Security number is incorrect?

Contact the Accounting Department IMMEDIATELY so we can re-issue a corrected 1099 as soon as possible.

Why was Backup Withholding deducted from my revenue check?

We are required by the Internal Revenue Service to withhold 24 percent of all revenue payable to those who have not provided Northwood with a proper Tax ID or Social Security number. To provide this information to Northwood Energy, please contact us at 614-457-1024 or email slevey@northwoodenergy.com.

A relative passed away, how do I transfer the interest?

If the relative has a Will, provide the following:

• Copy of the Will
• Death Certificate
• Letters Testamentary
• Final Decree and/or Recorded Certificate or Transfer in the Matter of the Estate
• List of legal names, current addresses, and social security numbers of the heirs

If the relative does not have a Will, provide the following:

• Death Certificate
• Final Decree and/or Recorded Certificate or Transfer in the Matter of the Estate
• List of legal names, current addresses, and social security numbers of the heirs

What if my Domestic Gas Statement seems too high?

If the amount of gas used on your monthly House Gas Statement seems unusually high, you should suspect a possible leak in your line or equipment. Signs of a possible leak can include whistling sounds, gas smells, bubbling in the ground or water, or brown grass.

You should immediately have a licensed professional (usually plumbers) inspect your lines and equipment. Have them repair or replace the leaking lines or equipment. Please note that even new gas lines can have leaks – groundhogs seem to think plastic gas lines are delicious.

Remember, maintenance and repair of your delivery system is your responsibility. For your safety and to avoid possibly paying for gas that has escaped into the air, have your lines and equipment inspected annually by a licensed professional.

I am thinking about selling my oil and gas interest. Who should I contact?

If you have an interest in selling your oil and gas interest that is operated by Northwood, please contact Land Services at 614-457-1024.
